A few weeks ago a colleage/fellow blogger and I were trying to think of a little photo project for our blogs, something which we could capture with our point & click camera's when someone suggested emptiness as the theme. In order to fully apreciate this as a topic I looked up the dictionary definition.
The dictionary defines emptiness in a number of ways, I intend to capture three of these definitions over the next week or so, the definitions I have chosen are:

1. Having no occupants or inhabitants (todays picture)
2. Holding or containing nothing
3. Lacking purpose or substance

The picture is of some derelict buildings at the end of Alexander Dock which were once offices to some of Hulls fishing merchants. Sadly Hulls fishing industry has disapeared, only recently the last Hull trawler was bought by an overseas company.
